Cameras 4 Kidz

In the modern digital world videos are ever-present. Everyone makes videos on their phones and shares them on social media, but making something a bit more polished requires a little bit of know-how. I'm organising a fun run to raise money to buy a basic camera kit for my son's school, Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School in Brixton. Then I'm going to help the children make a video for their school website. The children will get to learn about shooting video and editing it to tell a story. They will have fun expressing themselves in video and will take pride in showing the world how great their school is.

I'm inviting parents, friends of the school and children to join me for a sponsored run in Brockwell Park to raise funds for this project. There are weekly runs held in the park, on Saturdays for adults and Sundays for juniors and the idea is to take part in these. Adults are invited to take part in the 5k run at 9am on May 19th and children aged 4-14 in a 2k run at 9am on May 20th. It's free to register for both of these events using the links above.

I reckon we could get a pretty decent camera, microphone and tripod for £1,500. The school parent's association has agreed to put in £750, I just need to raise the rest. Thanks for reading this far. Any donation would be very gratefully received, no matter how modest.

You can download a flyer for this event and also a sponsorship form.
